Canvas Transfers are created by first applying a durable, non-reflective, UV-blocking laminate finish onto the surface of the fine art print or poster. This protects the image from fading and water damage.

The image is then lifted from the paper and transferred onto 100% cotton duck canvas. The canvas is then stretched onto a wooden frame (stretcher bars) and the edges are finished with a black fabric tape.

The final product retains the texture of the canvas and can be hung as a fine art piece with or without a picture frame. To clean the surface of the image you can use a damp cloth or a glass cleaner. To view a canvas transfer click here.

Please note: All image sizes on our web site are approximate. The canvas transfer process shrinks the image approximately 1/4" to 1/2" from the original print size.

No, you do not need to frame your canvas transfer. Your canvas transfer arrives stretched onto a wooden frame (stretcher bars) ready to hang. The edges of the stretcher bars are finished with a matte black fabric tape with a hanger on the back.

Our goal is to maintain the integrity of the colours of our images.

However, individual monitors may show colours differently. This is a result of monitors having different colour depths (the number of colours a monitor can display). The location of a person's monitor can also affect how colours are viewed (e.g., ambient light). Also, the setup of your computer monitor (calibration, hardware and software), can affect the brightness and colours of an image.

A fine art Giclee refers to a new digital process used to create limited edition prints. They are made from the artist's original artwork and are printed individually onto canvas or archival papers.

An Oil Reproduction is a hand painted replica of a Master Painters work. All of the reproductions are painted one at a time by a skilled and experienced artist. Your Oil Reproduction is painted on canvas and arrives stretched onto a wooden frame (stretcher bars) and ready to hang. The edges of the stretcher bars are finished with a matte black fabric tape with a hanger on the back.

If you have a favorite painting that you would like to have hand-painted, please contact us at sales@fastframesltd.com. Please provide an image or the artists name (e.g., Van Gogh), title (e.g., Starry Night) and the size that you would like it to be painted. We can then email you a quote.

We also do custom portraits of people and/or their pets from your image. Please let us know how many people will be in the painting and the size that you would like it painted and we will email you a quote.

WE SHIP YOUR ORDER FREE. For all orders shipped within Canada and the Continental United States (not including Hawaii and Alaska) we will *ship your online canvas order for free. (*online purchases only. )

For international (outside North America or Alaska and Hawaii) shipping costs please include the destination of shipment (City, Country and Postal Code) with your product inquiry. We will promptly email you the shipping and handling charges.

Fast Frames Ltd. uses UPS or DHL for deliveries in Canada and the United States. Any item(s) larger than 34" x 45" (oversize) will be shipped via Greyhound International or DHL. Please note: We can not ship to post office boxes ONLY street addresses.

If you are ordering online you will receive an e-mail receipt verifying that we received your order and it is being processed.

Most orders (in-stock items) will be shipped same or next business day. If an in-stock item(s) is temporarily out of stock we will back-order it for you. We will contact you by email (or phone) and inform you on expected delivery time.

Custom orders

are produced as soon as we receive your order and will be shipped in 4 to 5 weeks.

Oil Reproductions (in-stock items) will be shipped in 2 business days. If an Oil Reproduction is temporarily out of stock, it will be shipped within 6 weeks.

When you receive your order, please check over the package and note any inconsistencies on the shippers waybill. Please Note: Report damage within 14 days of shipment date.

If you have placed an order online and would like to cancel or change your order, please contact us by phone, fax or email immediately. We process and package orders as soon as they are received. If the item(s) have not been shipped we will refund the total purchase cost on your credit card - less a 5% restocking fee of .
